AIOS Controller Explained: The Governance Brain

Primary keyword: AIOS Controller

AIOS Controller is the control plane for multi-agent execution. It coordinates workflows, manages session lifecycle, and applies governance policies before actions are allowed to proceed.

At the operational level, Controller provides capabilities teams need once they run two or more agents: start, stop, pause, and resume sessions; inspect status and traces; and route work between specialized agents with deterministic handoffs.

At the governance level, Controller supports RBAC-ready models, approval gates, and auditability. This is where you enforce who can initiate high-risk operations and which outputs require human review before publication or execution.

If Connector is the execution boundary to external systems, Controller is the operating brain that decides what runs, in what order, with which safeguards, and at what cost profile.
